Enrichment
Every Wednesday afternoon, all Year 12 students participate in an enrichment activity. These activities are designed to broaden and enhance their Sixth Form experience as well as complement the skills students need in their chosen career or area of university study. While many students choose to take part in activities on school grounds, others opt to engage in work experience within the local community. This year, we offer a wide range of exciting enrichment opportunities from debating and finance to first aid and a range of sporting activities.
Our wider extra-curricular programme is also available to students in our Sixth Form and our students regularly participate in and contribute to extra-curricular sport, music, drama and societies.
Student Leadership Opportunities
At LPGS6, we are dedicated to nurturing leadership skills in all of our students. Our Sixth Form motto, "Today’s Learners, Tomorrow’s Leaders", reflects our commitment to fostering the qualities that will enable our students to lead in the future. Students have opportunities to get involved with fundraising, student voice, running clubs and enrichment activities and supporting at events. Year 12 students can apply to become prefects in the Autumn Term. Through our prefect system, students are given the chance to develop their leadership abilities across a range of areas. In Year 13, our Senior Prefect Team plays a pivotal role in student voice both in Sixth Form and across the school.
